Josh Bolland's summary
Creative Director & professional photographer with over 5 years' experience in digital media and web design. My main area of expertise is in graphic design, photography & moving image. (Canon man) and avid photoshop user. I specialise in portrait, studio & corporate photography, as well as being a moving image camera operator. I work primarily with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign for image manipulation & 2D graphics, plus Adobe Premiere & Final Cut for video editing.
My background stems from work as a freelance studio photographer in 2006 with the responsibility to photograph between 10 - 15 customers per day, in a multitude of different poses, set ups & styles for print. Alongside this I worked on several projects with local councils, schools & independant musicians. I entered into a position at a high school that involved me training a number of key members of staff in the latest digital media hardware & graphic design software, which later led to taking classes of up to 30 pupils ranging from ages 11 - 18. I later went on to several other schools across the borough to train members of staff in these areas alongside setting up J B Cole Ltd.
J B Cole Ltd. has been in operation for just over 2 years and in that time has launched websites for both national and international clients, designed and developed custom online applications and systems, worked for Pepsi on the international Pepsi Refresh project, had photos appear in Vogue and Elle, helped launch a vintage clothing magazine and provided exhibition materials for stands at a variety of ashion and trade shows. My role at J B Cole is to oversee all web-based projects from start to finish with a heavy focus on the usability, and integration between front and back end user experience (UX).
